About We Too

“We Too” in other words everyone, meaning you are not alone;
“Sharks” a metaphor for worries, fears or concerns;
“In The Blue” or into the unknown, also feeling sad or downcast;

This cleverly written book series (aimed at children aged 7-11) follows a class of Year 4 children as they each write about a week in their own lives. By reading chapter by chapter, child after child, you are able to compare their lifestyles and gain empathy for their individual situations.

Meet The Characters

About The Author

I’m Sarah-Lou Evans, teacher, mother and now officially a published author! My dream has always been to one day write important and meaningful stories for children, but until recently I have not had the time or confidence to make that dream a reality. My aim for the ‘We Too’ book series is to support and capture the interests of as many children as possible by encouraging them to empathise with the characters. I am so excited to finally share the first 6 characters’ stories, after working on this project for the past 3 years.

About The Illustrator

I’m Lorna Humphreys, an award-winning children’s book illustrator. As a child, I was always creative and an avid doodler, but it wasn’t until 2019 that I started to teach myself digital illustration. I love working with authors all around the world adding a little magic to their stories!

A gorgeous concept to raise the profile of mental health

January 27, 2025

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish. The characters were all relatable, the illustrations are wonderful, and the concept is just fabulous. I would strongly recommend this book to teachers looking at ways of discussing mental health and how this can be disguised or masked from person to person. I am so excited to read the next one!
